A simple gameplay that excites you
An unusual concept of the game will turn your approach to battles, gaining experience and developing skills on its head. “Point-and-click” control that is classic for isometric perspective won’t distract you from the game process, but fighting tactics and force balance are built on an absolutely different basis, although on the outside they run in the form common for a dynamic battle. During a fight with a monster or the other player each participant will be sure that the battle outcome is as objective and fair as possible. Luck takes place, but the player’s skills play a critical role; the player’s skills, and not those of the game character – although development of the latter is important too.
Depending on the player’s effective or faulty actions his character’s skills can either grow or decrease. This guarantees that it is the player who has leveled up his character, deserved his power and gear. That’s why if a character has a famous sword on his belt or legendary armor on his chest – which are one-of-a-kind – this already proves he hasn’t just bought or bartered them away, he has deserved owning them.
There are two game modes: “hardcore” and “softcore”. If you are an old-school player ready for hard work and injustice of the online world, then hardcore mode will be an excellent choice. In this mode, the player will treasure his character because in case of death he will lose all of his arming and gear, so anyone can go marauding while the lost one runs anew to the place of death. However, in this mode, the chance to receive a special award from bosses or hiding-places is higher. The risk is higher, but so is the pay-off.
Softcore mode is aimed at those who prefer going through locations in a more laidback manner. Player killers will be less interested in such targets, since in case of death the player doesn’t lose anything except his location. However, both hardcore and softcore players can prove their authority in front of the others because the power criterion is universal.
Prove your knowledge in action
For the first time ever, an unconventional skillset of the character gives players assurance about the battle’s outcome either with monsters or with the other players. The player will need to retaliate against his opponent’s EVERY action to hold his own, while remembering to act too. The battle’s dynamic won’t go down – there is no step-by-step mode. A new multitasking level in the course of a battle allows nobody to stay indifferent, and in case of failure the player will understand in what respect his opponent leaves him behind, be it speed of reaction or the skillset level. We are talking not classic skills of any MMORPG, but educational skills.
Each skill is compliant with a specific school program subject. To improve your skill of say long division, or decrease that of the opponent, the player will have to perform the necessary actions in terms of long division, and maneuver among monsters, other players, flying arrows or other external attacks at the same time. There is a vast number of skills, and the speed of using strengthening and weakening depends only on the player’s reaction and mental speed.
During a fight, the paramount significance is allocated to how fast the player can carry out several actions simultaneously, whilst doing it correctly and flawlessly.
Dozens of quests, hundreds of locations
An open game world will provide a great expanse to players, and everyone will be able to find a place after his own heart – the variety of landscapes leaves no one indifferent. Severe volcanoes, endless wetlands, cloud forests – an orderly plot allows visiting all these places, exploring them and solving their mysteries. The plethora of quests covering the entire school program – and not only – will let players look under every pebble diving into this bright world. There is no single static non-game character – each one has his own story and reasons to help the player or stand in his way.
For an older generation of players, secondary quests are developed giving more details about the island’s story and allowing to find out what has really happened and why the things are the way they are. You will be able to help locals with solving their questions and problems, if you want to, or find hidden trophies by solving various puzzles and analyzing the information received from the locals. This is uncovering the plot under an old-school games principle where the player’s choice actually affects the game-levels completion. However, even failing a quest the player can obtain the same information, but in a different and more complicated way. He can even achieve the final award, if he is lucky. The plot completion and the educational part intercross and translate into the single storyline, but all other plotlines can be unraveled in any order, if the player finds them, which is a different plotline as well.
